Burned Food in your Oven?

If you burn something in your Dutch oven, there are a couple ways to remove that burned-on food. First, fill the oven with water and place on your heat source to boil. Using a plastic spatula, gently scrape the oven to remove the burned-on food. This also works with cast iron skillets. I usually pour in a capful or two of our Cast Iron Cleaner when I'm boiling off any cooked-on food.

If that doesn't work, turn your oven upside down on a propane burner and "cook" the oven over medium-low heat until the food has been burned off. Use caution with this method so you don't completely strip the seasoning while removing the burned on food.
